The Agile Ergo
The Ergo's short frame structure makes it extremely agile for its size
class. The active suspension distributes the tires' surface pressure evenly and the vehicle's narrow logging trail also makes the Ergo suitable for thinning. The active suspension system also effectively compensates for uneven terrain and keeps the cab level at all times. Reliable Clark Hurth axles optimize the Ergo's center of gravity, ensuring working stability, even weight distribution and less damage to the terrain. The computer-controlled, continuously variable hydrostatic drive transmission guarantees optimal driving power at all rpm levels.

The Ergo is powered by a Mercedes-Benz OM 906 diesel engine whose turbocharger and sophisticated air-to-air inter-cooling technology provide top performance. The 400-liter fuel tank together with the engine's low fuel consumption facilitates the timing of refueling in connection with other pauses.

The Stable Beaver
Superb working hydraulics enable the Beaver to also process thicker stems.
Ponsse's Opticontrol system guides the Beaver's 145-liter/1000 rpm single circuit hydraulics, while advanced controls and the electrically powered pump enable the full utilization of the machine's features. The Beaver's proportions have been designed to suit the requirements for thinning. The machine's six-wheel chassis makes the Beaver extremely agile. Despite the compact size advantageous in thinning, the Beaver is also suitable for final felling. The free-floating portal bogie has enabled the Beaver's ground clearance to be raised without increasing the machine's overall height. A low center of gravity, rigid frame pivot and swing axle that can be steplessly locked by hydraulic cylinders while working make the Beaver an exceptionally stable machine. The Beaver is also equipped with reliable Clark Hurth axles that optimize the machine's center of gravity.

A Powerful Workhorse for the Larger Size Class

BuffaloKing in the 18-ton class carries nearly its own weight in wood. It provides its operator with a luxurious cab, a powerful Ponsse K100 crane, a large carrying capacity, a powerful Mercedes-Benz engine and a strong frame for harvesting timber on the most demanding scale in the larger size class. BuffaloKing is based on the Ponsse Buffalo forwarder and its design solutions that have proven to be good and reliable. With a carrying capacity of 18 tonnes (39,683 lbs), this machine was designed to be reliable and powerful with the minimum additional weight. An extremely stout bogie bears most of the load. The wide rear tires with high volumes of air evenly distribute the weight of the load on a variety of terrain, keeping surface pressures fairly low even with a heavy load. The hydraulic capacity of the machine has been increased by more that 30% compared to the traditional Buffalo. Combined with the powerful K100 crane and intelligent OptiControl control system, it provides utmost efficiency and cost-effectiveness along its entire maximum reach of 9.5 m (31.1 ft). The machine’s tractive force is impressive 21-tons. Compatibility with Buffalo ensures easy parts procurement and maintenance.

The Durable Buffalo

The Buffalo is equipped with strong bogie axles and wide balloon tires. The weight distributed over eight wheels reduces the ground pressure and damage to the terrain. This, together with the improved steering, also makes the Buffalo a productive machine for thinning.

The Buffalo's strong K90 loader, based on technical solutions that have proven their dependability over a period of many years, provides massive power for loading work. The 10-meter reach and smooth control increase the machine's productivity and the loader's strength is particularly well suited to sloped working conditions and the processing of large-diameter stems.

The design of the Buffalo has paid special attention to oil cooling and filtering; a separate pump unaffected by the machine's movements continuously circulates, cools and filters the hydraulic oil. The system keeps the oil's purity at an extremely high level and the temperature remains optimal under all conditions. Minimized pressure losses throughout the entire system further reduce fuel consumption.

Developed in co-operation with the whole timber supply chain: Lighter weight and better maneuverability than ever!

Ponsse Wisent is the answer to the expectations of the whole timber supply chain. Created according to the needs of our clients and partners, Ponsse Wisent follows in the footsteps of the legendary Ponsse S15 as a pioneer of its own era thanks to both its light weight and maneuverability. By combining new, carefully selected materials with the possibilities offered by modern production technology and better quality components, we have created a more economical and efficient general-purpose machine than ever. In particular Ponsse Wisent boasts reliability.

Ponsse Wisent starts a new era in the short distance transports of timber. The pressure on the ground is minimized thanks to the excellent proportion of net weight and load-carrying capacity, turning radius unparalleled in this size range and dimensions which distribute the load evenly on all the wheels. The tough Mercedes-Benz diesel engine now runs a larger pump, which enables the versatile and efficient use of the loader. Thanks to its great tractive force and excellent cross-country capabilities, moving loads is fast and flexible. Moreover, the ergonomics of the cabin ensure a pleasant working environment for even the most demanding user.

A+ for effectiveness!

The Ponsse Gazelle, following in the wheel tracks of the 12-ton Wisent, is also entering the market as one of the most technologically advanced forwarders but in the smaller, 10-ton-size class. The Ponsse Gazelle´s effectiveness and reliability are based on an effective utilization of the newest materials, highest-quality components and today´s most sophisticated manufacturing technologies. The Gazelle´s compact and agile appearance hides the power underneath: its efficient 4-cylinder Mercedes-Benz diesel engine, powerful K70+ grapple and large tractive force, combined with the modern OptiControl integrated control system, ensure a level of effectiveness never seen before in this size class.

Respect for nature

From the environmental point of view, the Gazelle´s low net weight, short turning radius, optimally shaped bunks and balanced weight distribution enable even the most demanding harvesting locations to be treated gently and with respect. The solid base machine and powerful grapple help the operator to fell trees also at maximum reach without causing damage to the trees left standing. Environmental friendliness can so be considered as one of the outlining features of the Gazelle.

The Versatile Buffalo Dual

The Ponsse Dual is both a harvester and forwarder. Working is effective and flexible; the switch from forwarder to harvester or the other way around can be made in less than 10 minutes. To optimize the machine's functional capacity, harvesting and forwarding work can be planned and implemented flexibly regarding the locations of stands marked for cutting, transport distances, the thicknesses of the trees to be felled and their accumulation, the availability of the logging contractor's other machines, or the harvesting chain's overall work situation.

The interchangeable harvester head and grapple enhance the machines functional versatility. The Ponsse Dual can also be used exclusively as a harvester or forwarder, thereby flexibly avoiding any problems caused by so-called hot spots in the harvesting chain.

All-in-one machine

Ponsse has innovated a new smaller version of the extremely popular BuffaloDual harwarder. By combining the ingenious technical solutions of the BuffaloDual with the lightness and agility of the Wisent forwarder, a new force to be reckoned with has been created: WisentDual.

Added efficiency to standard machine teams

Heavy machinery for clear-felling – light machinery for thinning. What if you could further improve efficiency and work more flexibly in response to the changing conditions? Using a harwarder like the Ponsse WisentDual can help you to achieve major savings in capital expenditure, transportation and maintenance costs thus considerably improving productivity from unprofitable fellings. The WisentDual’s harvesting capacity is ideal for cutting small stands with trunks of a smaller diameter releasing heavier harvesting machinery for work in more lucrative harvesting areas.

Effective, agile, environmentally friendly.

The popular Ponsse Wisent forwarder forms the base of the WisentDual. Tested in extreme conditions, the Wisent forms a reliable base for the most modernharwarder. The hydraulic capacity of the compact WisentDual, the strong K90Dual crane and the proven technology of the BuffaloDual create a sound basis for profitable contracting. The size, weight and efficiency of the WisentDual comply with modern environmental criteria.
